The short version: We collect only what we need to run your account and track your PDH compliance. We never sell your data. Your PE license information is yours and is stored securely.
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, PE license number, license expiry date, and state(s) of licensure. We also collect course progress data, quiz scores, and completion dates to generate your certificates and compliance records. Payment information is processed by Stripe and we do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
We use your information to: provide and operate the Service, generate certificates of completion, track your PDH compliance, send renewal reminders at intervals you select, communicate with you about your account, and improve our courses and platform. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.
Your PE license number(s) and expiry date(s) are used solely to personalize your compliance dashboard and renewal reminders. This information is stored securely and is never shared with third parties, including state licensing boards, without your explicit consent. You may update or remove this information at any time from your profile settings. Engineers licensed in multiple states may track all licenses through a single account.
If you join a firm account, your compliance data — including PDH hours earned, completion status, and renewal date — will be visible to your firm's administrator. You consent to this visibility when accepting a firm invitation. Your firm administrator cannot access your account credentials or payment information.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant database provider hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated sessions using your credentials.
Your certificates of completion and PDH records are stored permanently in your account. We maintain these records to support your audit obligations — most states require engineers to keep PDH records for a minimum of 3 to 5 years depending on jurisdiction. You may download your certificates at any time. Records are retained for the life of your account.
We send transactional emails including account confirmation, purchase receipts, course completion confirmations, and renewal reminders. Renewal reminders are sent at intervals you select in your profile settings. You may update your reminder preferences or opt out of non-essential communications at any time through your profile settings.
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform: Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (hosting). Each of these providers has their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum necessary information with each provider to operate the Service.
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from staying logged in to your account.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You may update most information directly in your profile settings. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at support@eng-pdh.com. Note that we may retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as transaction records.
The Service is intended for licensed Professional Engineers and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email and by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
